I will not lie, this one got me down. Wasn’t bad the day of – had two of my besties with me (Jackye and Becky). We laughed and played cards. My room was called the fun room (imagine that).
It really wasn’t the chemo treatment that got me, it was the Neulesta injection. Saturday and Sunday both I felt like I’d been ran over by a semi. I couldn’t hardly stand to be touched. Poor Maggie just did not understand why she couldn’t lay on mommy…
In my Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) group everyone says to take Claritin and Pepcid. I’m not really sure what either of those are supposed to do but I couldn’t tell it did a thing for me. They say to start taking them the day before the injection. I did that. Sooo maybe it would have been worse if I hadn’t taken them. I don’t know!
Anyway, today is a new day and I feel much much better. Just a little nausea this morning. I can deal with that.
If this is what it takes to ensure that this beast doesn’t return then I’ll get through it.
I am truly blessed with so many caring friends and family. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
