Went in for Round #3 of AC, only 1 more of those to go then a 3 week break before I start Taxol for 12 weeks every week. I got this !! Had my favorite nurse Mallory this time. She asked if I had a preference on a room, I said “A Big One”, there will be four of us and plan on playing cards. She looked around the room and said i’ll find you some kind of table. She brought in the above cart for us. They are soo good to me there!
Thanks Char for picking me up and bringing me home and thanks Becky and JJ for coming and making the time go by much much faster. Always a good time when we are all together. Never a dull moment, Becky entertained us on her rolling chair – all fun and games till you get locked out of the room cause you rolled too far lol
Some things I have learned since being bald….. 1. You freeze to death when you come out of the shower. You wouldn’t think wet hair would make that much difference but it does! 2. Your baseball caps really don’t fit as good as they used to, and I always had them as tight as I could get them before!
I can’t thank everyone enough for all the cards and words of encouragement. They mean so much to me. And the gifts!! As my favorite nephew Nick (he loves it when I call him that), told me this morning “Its like Christmas at your house everyday”. And he’s right. You all spoil me! But each and every item I appreciate so so much.
So far the Nuelesta injection hasn’t set in yet. Praying maybe its not as bad as last time. But if so, I will work my way through it. The “Red Devil” (Adriamycin) did rear its ugly head Thursday night. My heart was racing some and then I felt like I just couldn’t breathe. But I prayed for God to get me though it and it started easing off some. He is always good. I looked in my TNBC group and this is common. Just praying it didn’t damage my heart any…… I had a good heart before this started! I dare Chemo to take that away from me….
Remember, I AM THE STORM!
Have a great weekend everyone! Much love to you all.
