I apologize to those that received a blank email notification this morning. Something was messed up on server end (or something to that matter).
Thought I’d give a few little updates. Yes that’s my new tattoo pictured. It’s my daily reminder of my journey and that cancer did not win. I’ll explain it’s meaning:
Ribbon – obviously breast cancer
3- is for Triple Negative the type of cancer I had
Heart – it represents all the love and compassion that was shown towards me during my journey (yes that means you!)
; – my story/life isn’t over yet!
Everyone has been asking what I found out about my heart echo. My lung doctor had asked for this for a reason a could never understand. I have a hard time understanding him. There was something that showed up on the one that I had while in the hospital that he was concerned about. Anyway, yesterday I had an appointment with my heart doc (I do not see lung doc till October). He said he was checking my pulmonary pressure (whatever that is lol). But… it was normal. He said all of the echos he had done during chemo were normal. He did not mention the one I had done while in the hospital so he had not seen that one. But bottom line is my ticker survived the chemo and pneumonia!! Prayers were answered!!
Heart doc also went over my latest blood work. He kept listing off things normal normal normal. Gets to hemoglobin and he says..”getting better at least”. Geeze I was hoping this was getting closer to normal by now.
I hope that those who have followed my journey are doing well during these crazy times.
In the recent weeks I’ve had 3 friends diagnosed with breast cancer – I pray for them and pray they are shown the kindness and compassion that I was. If any of you are reading this I’m here for you if you need me. I know I really relied on a couple of my friends that had been through it before me. Connie and Carol you will never know how much I appreciated you all. I’m sure I might have driven you crazy with all my questions. I just want these other ladies to know they are not alone in this.
With all this said things are getting back to normal in my world. Well as normal as they can be with this COVID-19 stuff. I continue to limit my time out among people and yes I wear my mask.
Guess I’ve rambled enough.
I appreciate each one of you and your prayers. May God Bless you all as he has certainly blessed me.
